  • A Million Minutes produced by AIR, a Central Saint Martins research studio
  • Cubitt Artists for their Public Wisdom Symposium.
  • Simona’s work, Migrations Europa Exchange, was funded by Arts Council England. You can see more about the project here.

And as Creative Producer for the Claremont Centre, an over 55’s arts centre, Simona has also created various productions involving older people in the arts.

Born in Sardinia, Simona trained in classical and contemporary dance in Italy, London and New York. After completing her dance studies in London, Simona began performing and choreographing with her own and other dance companies at venues throughout the UK and abroad, including:

  • Tate Exchange at Tate Modern
  • Lillian Baylis Theatre at Sadler’s Wells
  • The Place Theatre
  • Grand Opera House, York
  • Festspielhaus, St. Pölten
  • Il Teatro del Conservatorio in Cagliari

Originally trained to work with frailer older people by Camden Active Health Team and latterly with more active older groups, Simona has been working in dance with older people for over 15 years. This has brought her to actively encourage older people to take up activities earlier in life as an act of prevention.

She currently divides her time between teaching weekly adult dance classes for over 55’s and creating choreographic works for her own company and other external commissions and productions. Simona also gives annual master classes at London Contemporary Dance School, Middlesex University and University of Bedford.
