Privacy and cookies

Last updated: 12 September 2026.

This notice explains how information is handled when you use Simona Scotto’s website. The person responsible for the website is Simona Scotto, 3rd Floor, 90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. You can make a privacy enquiry through the contact page.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, Formspark processes your name, email address and message on Simona’s behalf so that the enquiry can be screened for spam, delivered to Simona and answered. Formspark operates from Belgium and states that submitted data is stored in Ireland. The static website does not keep a separate local copy of your message. If you use a MailerLite signup form, MailerLite processes the information you submit to manage the mailing list and requested emails.

Payments

Subscription and donation links use Stripe or PayPal. Payment-card details are entered on the payment provider’s service and are not stored by this website. The provider’s own privacy notice applies to information submitted there.

External content and cookies

Pages can load embedded YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia and Google Maps content automatically. This can disclose your IP address, browser information and page activity to the relevant provider and may allow that provider to store cookies or similar identifiers.

Direct MailerLite signup forms can load MailerLite’s interface automatically. The site-wide mailing-list invitation loads its MailerLite and Google reCAPTCHA resources only when the invitation is shown. When a MailerLite form is rendered, MailerLite stores an ml_guid identifier in browser local storage and contacts its form-tracking service; MailerLite describes this as supporting its form and survey operation. Local storage is covered here as cookie-like technology. These services can receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies. Google fonts and archived comment avatars are served locally and do not contact Google Fonts or Gravatar.

If you close the site-wide mailing-list invitation, this site stores a host-only functional cookie for 60 days so that the invitation is not repeatedly shown. A one-year cookie is stored after a successful signup so that the same browser is not asked to subscribe again. These popup preferences are not used for advertising and can be removed through your browser settings.

Optional analytics

With your permission, this website uses Google Tag Manager to help Simona understand how visitors use it. Google Tag Manager is not loaded unless you choose “Accept analytics”.

Your analytics choice is stored in a host-only functional cookie for 180 days. Choosing “Reject analytics” leaves Google Tag Manager disabled. You can change your choice at any time.

Sharing and processors

Information is shared only where needed to operate the requested service. Relevant providers can include the website host, Formspark and its spam-filtering subprocessors, the receiving email provider, MailerLite, Stripe, PayPal, Google, YouTube and Vimeo. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Retention and security

Contact submissions may remain in the Formspark dashboard and receiving mailbox until deleted. They should be kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry and any associated legal obligations. Mailing-list information should be kept only while needed for the requested service or active subscription. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Use the contact page to make a request.

Changes

This notice may be updated when services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
